The Second 1/3 Of Our Trip

On May 18th we headed up to the Orem/Provo area to see more relatives for a few days before going on up to Idaho for the Kimber Reunion. A big thanks to Uncle Dean and Aunt Becky for letting us stay with them. It was so much fun to get to visit with them and hang out with the kids. We even got to spend a fun evening with my little sister Christy. She even made us a homecooked meal! The kids had fun chasing the animals around and watching the fish in her tank. We even got to meet her friend Russ and her roommates. It was a fun night I just wish we could have spent more time there. We were glad to get to see several relatives while we were there and were able to see some from my moms side of the family too.

We went to Grandpa Palmers in Orem and while there Aunt Sandra and Lisa even came by. The kids fed the fish in the pond in the back yard and then we went and visited with Michael and Jessica Palmer. Their kiddos are getting so big and everyone had fun running around. Then we started our long trip to Idaho. We met up in Ogden at Kenn's Aunt Ivy's house and said a quick hello to Aunt Ivy and Uncle Wayne. We then caravaned on up to Idaho with Glenn and Juliann, Jewel and kids, Clifton and Jessica and we even ran into Doug and Nikki along the way. We all made it up to the Hill's house in Kuna Idaho and we started a very fun few days together. We started at their church building where we had a very nice dinner and games, even a wonderful game of "Family Fued." Candace had sent out a questionair months before and it was fun to get to hear everyones answers that night. Then we went to their home and spent the next few days. We took the boys on a river rafting trip that took us about 8 miles down the river there near Boise. While we were there Jewel and girls helped take care of Kierra for us. Juliann even went on the river with us. We ended up having two boats of family. We broke it up boys vs. girls. Hunter actually joined us girls to go with Mommy and Javin stayed with Daddy. It was so much fun. The boys did very well. They screamed and cried the first few large waves that hit them but then they learned that if they put their heads down when warned that their faces were covered and it was okay. We got up to level 3 waves. A few of the teen girls got out and swam a bit in a few areas, but the girls never lost any one unlike the boys boat lost two over Mike's rapid. They quickly recovered and enjoyed the rest of the ride. After the river we traveled a very long couple hours up a very narrow steep dirt road to the Hot Springs. There we met up with the rest of the group and had lunch and most of the group enjoyed going into the Hot Springs. Kierra and I played on the grass for a while but the boys seemed to enjoy the water with their dad. We spent a few hours there and then went back to the Hill's. Candace and Family did a great job and had everything planned out and Candace did so much and even made several meals ahead to feed the whole group. The kids really enjoyed playing and getting to know their cousins. Thank you Candace it was wonderful and a very special time together.

Sunday after church we even got together and had family photos taken. Another fun opportunity to use my new camera. Everyone together and everyone had photos taken with their families and as a large group. What a treasure. It has been years since they have had a photo of the whole family. The last day of the reunion we went to the Birds of Prey. We were able to see many wild birds and learn about them there. What beautiful creatures! Again thank you to the Hill Family for all their work and hospitality!
